Synopsis

Two years after leaving AFC Richmond to be closer to his son back in Kansas City, Ted Lasso gets pulled back to England, this time to coach a newly formed second-division women’s football team. Rebecca, Keeley, and Higgins bring him the offer, and after a lot of soul-searching (and a very telling cup of tea), Ted decides to leap: he, Michelle, and Henry are moving to London. Season 4 follows Ted and the new Lady Greyhounds as they build a team from scratch, while old friends like Roy Kent adjust to leading the men’s side without him.

Will There Be a Season 5?

No official word yet from Apple TV+ on a Season 5 renewal, the show’s future will likely depend on how Season 4 performs across its full run. This section will be updated once more is confirmed.

Why It’s Worth Watching

Season 4 takes a real risk by stepping away from the AFC Richmond men’s team storylines that built the show’s fanbase, and leaning into a mostly new cast around the Lady Greyhounds. Early reviews suggest it mostly pays off, with critics praising the fresh dynamic even as some call the season slower to find its footing than earlier years.

Watch it if you like: underdog sports stories, ensemble comedy-dramas, or character-driven shows about starting over.
